Advair
Information
Advair (Fluticasone/Salmeterol) is used to prevent and treat wheezing, shortness of breath, and troubled breathing caused by asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, and other lung diseases. Advair (Fluticasone/Salmeterol) inhalation also is used to prevent breathing difficulties (bronchospasm) during exercise. Advair (Fluticasone/Salmeterol) is in a class of medications called beta-agonists. It works by relaxing and opening air passages in the lungs, making it easier to breathe. Keep this medication in the container it came in, tightly closed, and out of reach of children.

Side Effects
Common side effects of Advair (Fluticasone/Salmeterol) includes: Hoarseness, throat irritation, headache, rapid heartbeat, nervousness, cough, dry mouth/throat, or upset stomach may occur. To relieve dry mouth, suck on (sugarless) hard candy or ice chips, chew (sugarless) gum, drink water, or use a saliva substitute. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly.
